Uniting Communities for Ocean Conservation

Guardians of the Ocean has conducted impactful conservation projects across Sri Lanka, reaching coastal communities regardless of race, religion, or background. Our initiatives focus on education, awareness, and hands-on conservation efforts, empowering youth in fishing villages and beyond to take an active role in protecting marine ecosystems.

We strive to provide inclusive and equitable quality education about ocean conservation, empowering youth with the knowledge they need to become stewards of their environment.

SDG 14: Life Below Water

Our program directly addresses the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas, and marine resources. By educating young people about marine life and the threats they face, we promote awareness and action for marine conservation.

SDG 15: Life on Land

While our primary focus is on marine life, we also educate participants on the interconnectedness of land and ocean ecosystems, promoting biodiversity conservation in both areas.
