Kalkudah Project

As part of a Sri Lanka Sub-Aqua Club dive trip to Pasikudah, we conducted a marine awareness and conservation program at Namagal Vidyalaya, Kalkudah, using the Guardians of the Ocean initiative to educate students about the marine environment and its protection.

The children were introduced to the basics of scuba diving, offering them a glimpse into the underwater world and the importance of safeguarding it. Through interactive discussions, they explored the vital role divers play in conservation and how they, too, can contribute to protecting marine life.

To encourage sustainable habits, Olu and Liquid Island Sri Lanka generously sponsored reusable glass water bottles, reinforcing the importance of reducing plastic waste. This initiative reflects Sri Lanka Sub-Aqua Club’s commitment to marine education, ensuring that coastal communities are equipped to become active guardians of the ocean.
